RPI Overseas Study Trips

Objectives

The overseas industry attachment programme aims to broaden the mindset of RP students. Through this programme, students will be able to enhance and develop their academic, professional and personal competencies in a meaningful international work experience. RP students will be able to appreciate the cultural and working environment of the country their attachment is located.

About the Internship

The overseas industry attachment programme offers international “on-the-job” learning opportunities to RP students. The programme takes place during RP vacation periods. The student will be attached to a company where they will be given job assignments under the supervision of a mentor, who is a full-time employee of the hosting company. Having to work in a foreign country, the interns not only gain international exposure on the country’s industrial development, it also provides an opportunity to cultivate soft skills in relationship management across cultures. Students can look forward to having a more enriching vacation, especially in emerging economies in Asia.
